WHAT IS THERE TO BRING YOU TO BROOMFLEET?

For the fishermen out there we have two one acre ponds, one containing Trout, the other containing Carp, Roach, Perch, Tench and Ide.  These ponds are not open to the public and so can be enjoyed all to yourself.  We are also situated on the banks of the Market Weighton Canal with full fishing rights.

For walkers, the Humber Lock is only a mile down the canal and the locality has many open areas to enjoy.

For wildlife lovers, the area is a haven for deer, swans, ducks and wild birds including kingfishers, woodpeckers, cormorants, coots, herons and owls to name but a few.  The Humber Estuary Reserve and North Cave Wetlands are a stones throw away.

A golf course is planned within walking distance of the site and there is a riding school a mile away.

Small villages, such as Howden, South Cave, and Market Weighton with quaint tea rooms are within easy reach.

Overall, the area is a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of life.

On a more practical note, the site is at the side of the main Hull – Selby railway with a station minutes away and only 5 miles from the M62.  Hull, York, Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield are all well within an hour for the city workers so commuting is a very real possibility. And, with the ferry terminal in Hull only 20 miles away, long weekends in Europe in the bus can be enjoyed regularly!
